 Basically, the CPUSA and Gus Hall were prophetic about developments of the US political economy. Gus Hall looks like a genius now, as does the whole Communist Party ; and really the whole first stages building Communism in the world in the Soviet Union and China, Cuba are outshining by far the fascistic, imperialist, capitalist, white supremacist, evil empire US , That's it in brief.   • Paul White I didn't care much for Mr. Hall. The few times I met him back in the 60s/70s he came across to me as kind of arrogant and not that much interested in what we young twentysomethings had to say. It was totally the opposite with Anthony Krchmarek, then Chairman of the CP-Ohio. Krch was always willing to spend time with us younger folks and listen to our ideas. It was Krch who convinced me to join the W.E.B. Dubois Club, the 1960s version of the YCL. Nevertheless, my lack of warm fuzzy feelings for Hall never stopped me from voting for him when he ran for president.
