Book of Fidel Castro’s speeches

Manolo Enrique and I have edited a book for LeftWord Books and 1804 Books called Comrade of the Revolution. It contains seven speeches by Fidel Castro (These are newly translated and edited speeches). What holds these speeches together is that they were made at the precise moments of great crises for Cuba, viz. the failure of the sugarcane harvest, the fall of the USSR, and so on. As Cuba undergoes this present crisis of the heightened blockade and of the pandemic, we are almost willing the eternal clarity and hopefulness of Fidel into the world.
