US Social Democracy began with Franklin Roosevelt Liberalism. It has progressed in a dialectical zig -zag with Roosevelt , Kennedy/Johnson , Carter, Obama, Biden as zigs ; Truman , Clinton as zags . Those zigs are advances won by the US wage-labor class. US Social Democracy is no more at a dead end than Socialism is at a dead end because of the end of the Soviet Union . A new socialist zig has been started by China .



Success of far-Right parties is bourgeois reaction to colonial and Neo -colonial chickens coming home to roost : The problem of the 20th Century was the problem of the colorline as Dubois hypothesized . And now with Rwanda refugees , Black woman British elected officials , Brexit, French anti-immigrant Rightwing party , Italian rise of fascists , Poland , etc. , the KKK - Republican Party in the US , the colorline is also the problem of the 21st ! The chickens of colonialism have come home to roost :T

The far-right, anti-immigrant party Alternative for Germany (AfD) surged in the Bavaria’s state election in October, coming third with just under 2 million votes and gaining 10 seats in the state legislature. This follows a trend of electoral success for AfD, which is now polling at around 20 percent across all of Germany.
