Abstract This paper examines the fragmentation of twentieth-century scientific philosophy through a comparative analysis of logical empiricism, Popperian falsificationism, and Marxist theory. It argues that the failure of logical empiricism was not merely technical but stemmed from an inability to reconcile empiricist anti-metaphysics with the holistic and dynamic features of scientific practice. Popper’s falsificationism resolved key epistemological issues but did so at the cost of detaching philosophy of science from broader social theory. Marxism, meanwhile, divided into three different currents—Soviet Marxism, Western Marxism, and analytical Marxism—each of which preserved certain insights while sacrificing others. Soviet Marxism achieved systematic unity at the cost of rigidity, Western Marxism retained dialectical depth while weakening empirical engagement, and analytical Marxism secured clarity by rejecting dialectics altogether. The paper proposes a reconstruction of scientific philosophy in which dialectics is understood not as a metaphysical doctrine but as a methodological abstraction from scientific practice. In this form, dialectics functions as a second-order framework for interpreting complex, dynamic, and historically evolving systems. This reconstruction seeks to integrate empirical rigor, logical clarity, and systemic analysis, thereby overcoming the fragmentation that has characterized both philosophy of science and Marxist theory
