Michigan political dialectics: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction

Charles Brown

Although, because American elections and politics are significantly personality
contests and celebrity driven, there has been over the last six years
a lot of focus on Obama the person, it is really not the best way to analyze politics
with so much emphasis on persons, personality, Individuals.

But let's consider how is Obama's personality and Obama as a
person interacting with the movement ,if any, and direction of the
political spectrum, laws and programs of the government ?

The positive potential I see is actually more in the movement of things
created by the conflict between mass of voters on the left and the mass of
voters on the right , large
numbers of people; for as , Obama said in his first Presidential campaign,"
change comes from the bottom up."; and this conflict can beget movement
from the "bottom", potentially.  I wonder if crises do ,in the cliche ,
 represent danger and opportunity.

Obama's election was a lurch in the opposite direction of the predominant
direction of the last thirty or so years since Reagan's movement
shifted the political spectrum to the right. Where ever Obama's actual
Presidency and the fed government has ended up, his election
represented a sort of explosion of pent-up left and progressive
sentiment for change to the left and progressive direction.   This
begot a reaction from the right focused in the Tea Party, which made Obama's personality and identity a major target in their anti-rational political assault of 2010.

The hope I see at the mass, not personality level, is that now the left and progressive masses of people, the real America,  will move even further left and progressive pushed
that way by the Tea Party insane politics and crises they have inflicted. Again , that more people will move left and progressive recoiling
against the horror of the tea Republican wankers  in a sort of dialectic,
an opposite reaction. Will the tea Republican rape of majority Black
cities in Michigan , imposition of Work-for-less laws in
the historically union strong state of Michigan and war on women
beget a strong fight back from Black people
, unions and women ? The tea Republicans swept into state takeover in
2010 in reaction to Obama, of course.   Will there be a negation of this negation in 2014 ? Yes, we can

Objectively, in a number of ways, Obamacare functions agitationally in the class struggle, pitting employees against employers.

What's really at stake when corporations like Hobby Lobby can block employees' access to contraception based on a "religious belief" that birth control causes abortions.
