America ! Remember Bush disaster this November 2014

Might not be such a bad thing for Cheney and Bush to be in the news again as we approach the next election.

Can Americans make the mental leap , the generalization, that Republicans have been bad for us for for years now ?

Make it emphatic; vote straight Democratic

by Charlie Brown

The events in Iraq, now, reminding all of the Iraq disaster and how bad Bush and Cheney were, may help the Democrats in the election. I hope they are in the headlines, because it may cause some people to vote for Democrats.
Americans tend not to learn from history in their political and electoral thinking.  They are always and only in the present. It seems to be a form of political amnesia or laziness.

Americans were not pleased with the Bush and Cheney in 2008. So, they elected Obama. Lets take the mind of America back to 2008 just in time for the election. this November.  Let the choice between Democrat and Republican this year reflect some memory of how Democrats and Republicans have performed over the last 20 years.  Every political day is not a new day.

"We kind of laid off the Bush bashing in the 2008 election because the economy, the wars and foreign policy in general were such a complete disaster that it would have been like piling on. But I say go for it this year and in 2016 -- what evidence is there that the right has learned ANYTHING from the misadventures in the Middle East, the growth in income inequality and the sorry state of our economy? What would they do to prevent the next stupid, misguided war? How would they prevent the next economic collapse, considering they've opposed everything the Democrats have tried to do to prevent one? How would they try to resurrect the economy if it were to fail spectacularly again? Let's campaign against Bush and his whole sorry gang of "like thinkers."

And let's go heavy on other GOP/right-wing gifts of recent years: SCOTUS decisions like Citizens United and the gutting of the Voting Rights Act, attempts at voter disenfranchisement, the myth of "right to work," advocating small government while giving the government authority over women's bodies, fighting marriage equality, distorting democracy through everything from gerrymandering to filibustering...and the whole time not having a SINGLE FRIGGIN' IDEA about what to do about healthcare besides the constant cries to "repeal Obamacare," even though it's already showing signs of making us a healthier nation and giving more people access to basic care."

Cheney's lie from just after Bush and Cheney invaded Iraq:   "Sixteen months ago, Iraq was a gathering threat to the United States and the civilized world, ... Now it is a rising democracy, an ally in the war on terror, and the American people are safer for it."

I disagree with the author of the following article in _Salon_ . I want the television to cover as much as possible Cheney and the Neo-cons criticizing Obama about Iraq

TV bookers should not only ignore these fools because they were wrong, but because they are fringe characters now
