Michigan Republicans dis this Fathers' Day what the Founding Fathers Founded

by Charlie Brown

What did the Founding Fathers found ? The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ! How on Earth may Tea Republicans claim to be Patriots, devotees to the ideals of the Founding Fathers, this Father's Day 2014, and despise the FEDERAL gov'mint the Founding DADDIES founded in the Constitution , and in blood and sweat of revolutionary war.

The Michigan "Republicans" are against republican form of government.

In continuing to resist the policies of President Obama, they violate the basic American democratic principle of majority rule. Obama got the majority twice , yet the Michigan Republican Members of the House continue to oppose everything Obama proposes.

The first words of the Constitution are "We, the People" to signify that all power in this democracy derives from the People, Popular Sovereignty. All Power to and from the People !

Michigan Republicans, including that so-called attorney, Snake Snyder, savagely disregarded the will of the People, their rulers, in reenacting the Emergency Dictator laws repealed by the People in referendum. I essay that tyrannical , unAmerican travesty of justice here:

Hmmm "The Number one reason why the founding fathers were at the convention in Philadelphia was to stop the states from printing paper money". Now if true, what does that say about the idea that the founding fathers were all about 'states rights'. (I can dig out the person who said that, in a lecture).

Charles Brown What did the Founding Fathers found ? A NATIONAL, FEDERAL government !The Founding Fathers were all about federal POWERS , and REDUCING states' rights. They got rid of the Articles of Confederation , which was all about states' rights, and founded a federal government superior to the states. They put a specific federal supremacy clause in the Constitution announcing that they were all about FEDERAL POWERS over States' "rights" , actually powers.

"James Otis, Jr. (February 5, 1725 – May 23, 1783) was a lawyer in colonial Massachusetts, a member of the Massachusetts provincial assembly, and an early advocate of the Patriot views against British policy that led to the American Revolution. His catchphrase "Taxation without representation is tyranny" became the basic Patriot position.[1]"

No taxation without representation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclop"No taxation without representation" is a slogan originating during the 1750s and 1760s that summarized a primary grievance of the British colonists in the Thirteen Colonies, which was one of the major causes of the American Revolution. In short, many in those colonies believed that, as they were not directly represented in the distant British Parliament, any laws it passed taxing the colonists (such as the Sugar Act and the Stamp Act) were illegal under the Bill of Rights 1689, and were a denial of their rights as Englishmen.

The phrase captures a sentiment central to the cause of the English Civil War, as articulated by John Hampden who said “what an English King has no right to demand, an English subject has a right to refuse” in the Ship money case.[citation needed] “No Taxation Without Representation,” in the context of British American Colonial taxation, appeared for the first time in the February 1768 London Magazine’s headline, on page 89, in the printing of Lord Camden’s "Speech on the Declaratory Bill of the Sovereignty of Great Britain over the Colonies."[1]
