Good morning reader,
The U.S. subsidiary of a Chinese company said Tuesday a federal review of its planned Michigan factory found it presents no national security threat.
Gotion Inc., a subsidiary of China-based Gotion High Tech, plans to build a $2.3 billion EV battery component factory near Big Rapids. The company sought the review following a backlash to the Chinese ties of its parent company.
Bridge Business Editor Paula Gardner reports that the company has yet to release a copy of the review, said to be conducted by the U.S. Department of Treasury Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
