The MDP State Nominating Convention is coming up this Saturday, August 20th and Sunday, August 21st at the Lansing Center in Lansing.

Charles, The MDP State Nominating Convention is coming up this Saturday, August 20th and Sunday, August 21st at the Lansing Center in Lansing.

We will stand with our friends and neighbors to defend democracy and support our strong Democratic candidates from the bottom of the ticket to the top. At this convention, active MDP members will formally nominate Democratic candidates to appear on the ballot for the November General Election for Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Supreme Court, Board of Education, and University Boards including Michigan State University Board of Trustees, University of Michigan Board of Regents, and Wayne State University Board of Governors.

The Convention is also a time for us to come together so we can meet fellow organizers, activists, and volunteers as we prepare for the critical work ahead of Election Day. This is a great opportunity to connect with each other and hear from the strong leaders who are leading us to victory in November!

We'll kick off the convention on Saturday, August 20th at the Lansing Center (333 E. Michigan Ave) in Lansing:

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Constituency Caucus Meetings (you can find locations and times for each caucus meeting here)

12:00 - 1:00 PM: Lunch

1:00 - 2:30 PM: Congressional District

Caucus Meetings (you can find locations and times for each caucus meeting here) 3:00 PM: Nominations for Board of Education and University Boards

4:30 - 7:00 PM: Ingham County Dems host Convention After Party. Tickets can be purchased here.

We'll conclude the convention on Sunday, August 21st:

9:00 - 10:00 AM: Blue Breakfast. Fuel up before the convention! Get your ticket here. 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM: Nominations for Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, and Supreme Court, featuring Governor Whitmer
