Mass apathy toward politics<



It is no accident that most people in America are not into politics; Most of the People don't vote most of the time . The system is designed to alienate people from politics. There is a vast apoliticizing culture in America. Thought Control far beyond anything in the novel 1984_. The Powers-that-be designed it long ago. They count on a minority of the population voting. The whole cultural theme of disdain for "politicians" and government is enculturated in the masses. It is an American passtime to dog out politicians, phony critical thinking. Mass apathy is inculcated, doesn't just pop up. The journalists and media are in on it. The original role of the press as the peoples' watchdog on government is perverted into a major way to make people "apathetic" about politics, to turn them off to it; to scapegoat government for the wrongs of the capitalists and the corporations, who are the true government
