I'm a physician and researcher who is interested in learning about gender dysphoria, the experiences of people who desist (or re-identify) after identifying as transgender, and people who detransition after gender transition. I believe that in order to promote the health and well-being of all people who experience gender dysphoria, it's important to understand how and why people start to feel gender dysphoric, how feelings of gender dysphoria may change over time, and the different kinds of outcomes people may have after experiencing gender dysphoria. Currently, I am the President and Director of the Institute for Comprehensive Gender Dysphoria Research (ICGDR) and I serve on the advisory boards of Gender Dysphoria Alliance (GDA) and GenSpect. Previously, I have held academic positions at the Brown University School of Public Health and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. If you would like to read more about me, here is an interview I did with Jonathan Kay at Quillette.
