Charles, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy openly admitted that should the GOP take control of the House this November, Social Security and Medicare could be on the chopping block. That’s right – Republicans plan to use a must-pass increase in the debt ceiling to make massive cuts to social insurance programs if they have the power to do so. We talk a lot about the importance of this election in terms of saving our democracy and protecting our access to abortions – but so much is on the line this November, and much of it isn’t being discussed in the media. But we’re here to tell you, it’s ALL on the line this midterm election. To ensure Social Security and Medicare are safe from drastic GOP cuts, we must keep hold of the U.S. House.
