Below is

ME at Bailey School , East Lansing, Michigan , 1960: Beverly Elizabeth (Mom's middle name) was born in Lansing hospital . Dad , " Betty had a little girl ! Betty had a little girl "; as Phil remembered and repeated to me years later.<


I played baseball lots . We got hardballs that the Michigan State baseball team hit over the fence and left ; MSU sports areas were just a few blocks from our house ar 218 River Street ; I taught myself some baseball reading a book on it. <



JFK won the Presidential election in 1960; I campaigned , too. Dad met JFK during the campaign as an aide to Governor Williams . Dad attended the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles. <


Mom/Betty intensely disliked Nixon forever after. She enjoyed as her "Soap Opera" his being knocked out of office years later

One of my political leaders ,Jesse Jackson , along with Angela Davis, Coleman Young , Mary Ann Mahaffey, Mel Ravitz , JFK, LBJ, Barack Obama (!)
