Those ideas come from propaganda, not reality.


Socialism is very simple. It is society working together so everyone can survive.


It means no one should die because they cannot afford healthcare. It means no child should go hungry. It means workers deserve fairness. It means the basics of life should not depend on how wealthy someone is.


It is collective responsibility. It is choosing each other instead of pretending everyone is alone.


Honestly, I think people are scared of the word socialism without realizing we already live in a mixed system. We have capitalism and we also have socialist programs that hold society together. Public schools, Social Security, Medicare, the post office, libraries, firefighters, public parks, and even the military are all socialist in nature.


Socialism is not a takeover. It is simply working together so the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable are not abandoned.


The real danger is pretending everyone is completely on their own.
