Japan was rip roaring in part , ironically , because US wouldn’t let them have a military , and so they didn’t have to waste money on military spending. <


I remember in the 50’s , Americans had the racist meme that the Japanese could only imitate American inventions; weren’t smart enough to invent ; same race narrative now on China. All that does is have the U.S. underestimate it’s competitors, who then proceed to kick your ass as Japan did and China is doing . <
