Lions’ True Grit on the gridiron

Whereas , For years and years , the Detroit Lions’ many, many loyal fans have not had a winning team ; and

Whereas, however , for the last two years the Lions have become a winning team by consensus of expert opinion with two playoff wins last year ; and 12 regular season wins already this year , so far ; and

Whereas… Therefore be it resolved that the Detroit City Council commends the Detroit Lions ; and Hopes and Cheers them onto victory in the Super Bowl

Lions remind me of the Democratic Party taking all these serious injuries

I think the Lions are playing so hard they are injuring themselves. I love Dan Campbell, for sure . It’s a shame all these injuries

Grit on the gridiron (Last year, 2023, right before Lions took off I watched the loyal Lions' fans as I had for many years around my home downtown Black Bottom : I'm traveling to Bert's from 1365 through the Lions' fan crowd which has always been thick along the route up Rivard , Antietem , Gratiot , Russell ever since the Lions moved into Ford Field; with tailgate parties supreme in Eastern Market. I always said the football fans' parties are the baddest parties that come around Bert's . Anyway , all these years I couldn't root for the Lions because they have been legendary losers for a long, long time. Pitiful really . I can't hang with losers ; sorry . I can pity you . So, I always felt sorry for the fans walking back up Gratiot to their cars . But they were loyal , suffering through it all . Now ! with experts predicting a good Lion season and Lions winning their first game against last year's champs I drive through Lions' fans marching like they are on their way to the reward for all their patient waiting ...
