Charles, We have three new resources to share with you, which we launched at the recent Genspect conference The Bigger Picture in Ireland. As the shockwaves of gender ideology continue to reverberate throughout society, parents are the first line of defence for those children who have felt the impact. We hope these resources are helpful to you, particularly if gender issues are affecting your family, but you also might want to keep this email handy to share with others who suddenly find themselves looking for advice. Detransitioners’ voices video In this short video, young detransitioners share their deeply personal stories of how they were harmed by gender medicine. They explain how they were rushed through treatment and are now permanently and irreversibly damaged. Please watch it, and share it (on Twitter, WhatsApp, Facebook and LinkedIn). With thanks to Malcolm Clark, Menno, Genspect and Affirmation Documentary Advice for parents of teenagers We have published a three-part series of booklets by researcher Matilda Gosling which draw on science and practitioner experience to offer information and advice to parents of teenagers with gender-related distress. Part 1 looks at why might teenagers question their gender. Part 2 summarises the evidence base and examines the medical treatment for gender distress in teenagers. Part 3 looks at practical ways in which parents of gender-questioning teenagers can help their children. We have put together a page of resources and links for parents and carers, covering support groups, advice, guidance for schools, and background reading. Groups that support parents include: Bayswater Support Group Our Duty Gender Dysphoria Support Network Parents with Inconvenient Truths about Trans (PITT) 4thWaveNow. Questions about sex and gender What is sex? What is gender identity? What does gender dysphoria mean? Can human beings change sex? For anyone just starting to try to understand the claims and arguments about gender identity, with the help of doctors we’ve put together a series of frequently asked questions.
