Communists as Memory of the 99%

In the US , the New Deal was a radical reform of US capitalism. Marxists do not have disdain for participation in some reform struggles; we try to participate in them so when they have inevitable serious shortcomings, the working class learns from them that it must go beyond reform to revolutionary change. We have to be the memory of the class. The "class as a whole" for us Communists is the experience of dead generations of the class as well as living generations . We are the culture of the working class , in the anthropological sense of culture. Tradition, custom , history . That history includes the New Deal era of the class struggle in which the US 99% won big reforms. Now the class has historical amnesia about what it learned then. We are the class Memory.
