Hi! I just started the petition “Protect the Smithsonian: Uphold its mission and values” and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name and passing it on. With everything happening, this may seem minor in comparison, but Trump is threatening to erase our history. Smithsonian museums may not tell the full story, but they are the closest we get on a national scale. If Trump puts a positive spin on our history, how much history will we lose? Will future generations recovers it, or will Trump destroy records and artifacts that tell unpopular history ? Our goal is to reach 5,000 signatures and we need more support. It preserves our shared history, celebrates our diversity, advances science, and fosters understanding across communities.
