Charles : Nolan Finley is a long time rightwing ,racist editor for the Detroit News . His attacks on Trumpy and Trump's candidate for Michigan attorney general candidate in his editorial below is another example of the growing split in the Republican Party . I predicted in 2016 that if we could beat Trump in 2020, it would lead to trumpy fanatics not voting Republican, allowng Democrats to win bigger majorities in the federal and state legislatures .
Even the rightwing , racist Detroit News cracks on Trump's big lie that he won in 2020:
"Candidates and officials reinforced Trump’s message throughout the night and repeated unproven claims that the 2020 election was stolen. "
Rightwing Detroit News headline :"Trump repeats Michigan election fraud claims. Here's what the records show"

Nolan Out Loud: GOP AG candidate has some explaining to do

The Detroit News
Matthew DePerno, candidate for Michigan State Attorney General, speaks during the debate sponsored by the North Oakland Republican Club Thursday night at the Waterford Township Hall.
Michigan Republicans have a choice for their attorney general nominee between a solid, principled conservative and a fringe conspiracist. The have to decide whether beating incumbent AG Dana Nessel is more important than pleasing Donald Trump.
Matt DePerno is the Trump candidate, a distinction he earned by pushing the former president's delusional campaign to overturn his loss in Michigan through all manner of legal maneuvers.
As part of that quest, DePerno started the Election Fraud Defense Fund and raised nearly $400,000.
His opponent for the nomination, former Michigan House Speaker Tom Leonard, wants to know where that money went. So do a lot of other people. But DePerno won't account for how he used the funds.
That's unacceptable for a candidate seeking to be the state's top lawyer. It's a position that demands character and integrity.
