For decades, they ( WHITE PEOPLE) told African graduates there was only one road to success: wait for a government job. Study, get your diploma, then sit in a waiting room for a desk that may never come. In Burkina Faso, a young woman decided to do the opposite - since 2023, she has never sat a single civil service exam. Instead, she's sowing maize on one hectare of land that's hers.
This is the story of PITVA - Burkina Faso's program to turn unemployed graduates into agribusiness entrepreneurs. Each young person gets their own hectare, seeds, start-up capital, training and supervision at Bagré. And in two years, people who were headed for a waiting room now talk yields, crop cycles and diversification like real business owners.
But we stay honest. Will they still be farming in five years? Is the start-up capital enough? Is there a market for what they grow? We show the real progress AND the real obstacles — because that's what this channel is for.
There's no foreign villain in this story. The realThere's no foreign villain in this story. The real enemy is graduate unemployment, the civil-service mindset, and the distance between a diploma and an income. That's a harder enemy than any government abroad.
In your country, are young people taught to chase a government post — or to build their own future? Drop your country in the comments. And tell me where you're watching from.

When Burkina Faso's Captain Ibrahim Traoré warned of a coming "Black Winter," international observers initially dismissed it as political rhetoric.
However, the severe security shocks of 2026 across Mali and Niger proved that the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) is facing a highly coordinated, multi-layered offensive. In this episode, we analyze Traore's unprecedented shift toward total state mobilization, including the massive recruitment of military reservists and the rapid domestic production of combat vehicles. We explore the grueling reality on the commercial frontlines, the structural challenges still facing the AES joint military command, and how this sovereign defense strategy is fundamentally reshaping the future of West African geopolitics.
