I’m Black and I’m Proud ; say It loud

The 3 primary reasons I am against BLACKKKISM<

1-Blackkk is a pejorative negative English term used by racists black plague, black list , black mail.

2-We the people of the African diaspora have brown skin and light skin and dark and white skin. Colorism was used to dehumanize and segregate and seperate the African diaspora globally and in African countries. When we use blackkk as identity eventually the darkness or lightness of skin will be questioned and used to seperate members of the community. We can never be blackkk enough for the blackkkk enslaved mindset.

3-it is my opinion that we need to link the people of tge African diaspora with Africa not European racist nomenclature that was meant for enslaved people. We need to ignore all European racist ideology and philosophy etc.

Charles response I know but I’m following my take on it which take I have given you in Spades ♠️

It’s not racist when we use it. Steve Biko didn’t consider it racist ; see Black Consciousness Movement of late 60s early 70’s . I’m in that movement still , my Brother.

Calling somebody Black was an insult before that late 60's ; “Negro” , “Colored” were polite terms . Black Consciousness movement reversed this ! Negro became an insult. James Brown was Black and proud , etc. . It occurred spontaneously among the masses of Black People, amazingly; true democracy.

Also , this was a big knock on skin color prejudice among Black people . Lightskin people called themselves “Black” ( dark skinned).

I think this might be before your adulthood .<

Also, in 1903, W.E.B. Dubois , who remains chief philosopher of Our People wrote, _The Souls of Black Folk_ , lending great dignity to use of Black as our name.
