Reaganites succeeded in slandering the FDR Liberal philosophy of taxing the rich and spending on social programs such as social security or Headstart or legal services for the poor ; building large anti-Liberal voting blocs

Reaganite Republicans pulled a bait-and-switch on working class with demogogy about Democratic tax -and-spend; switch on masses of whites faking cuttin their taxes , but only cutting taxes of the rich and promising the rich would trickle it down to the working masses. But the rich didn't; they invested it in finance capital. <
