Problems with the new rules: The Department 1) still thinks it’s okay for “gender identity” to obscure the reality of sex under certain circumstances, 2) ignores the fact that Title IX was intended to benefit women and girls (not students in general), and 3) suggests that some children in elementary school might have “gender identities” that should be legally allowed to override their sex.
