The _Citizen United_ case spells the end of any democracy in the US electoral system through $Trillion Bribery.
None of them are nuts. They are playing roles. The Korean form of government is rooted , as should be for socialism, in the history of Korea. Korea has remained independent of China for millenia. It is bourgeois ethnocentrism to think the use of hereditary elite in Korea is the same thing as in the West. But even at that there is still monarchy in "socialist" Scandinavia" or "social democratic" Britain. Not to mention Western electoral democracy is completely rotted out by the bourgeois acquiring far past master skills at Bribery and Hi tec or low tech ballot box stuffing; The _Citizen United_ case spells the end of any democracy in the US electoral system through $Trillion Bribery.

 Occupy Madison Avenue !

To tout bourgeois electoral democracy as a world model after _Citizens United_ case is a stupid joke.

US electoral democracy is an electoral plutocracy.  The government and laws serve fundamentally and extensively the few who buy the votes with commercials and bribe the candidates with campaign money, not the many who vote.  Many of the many play along and sell their votes based on commercials.

Mike Ballard Too bad you don't have compulsory voting in the USA.
Charles Brown That's because the bourgeois know it would mess up the above setup. It's sort of chicken-and-egg. We don't have compulsory voting or voting day holiday, because it can only be had by it getting voted in , and votes are controlled as above. The US bourgeoisie are past masters at preventing the electoral system from functioning democratically, such that the majority of the people rule. It is electoral plutocracy , not democracy.

The US is about a million times more a menace to humanity than North Korea. The US invaded Korea and murdered two million people in the Korean War. North Korea has _never_ invaded another country. The crazy front is in part to keep the US from invading again, by making them think that the Koreans are crazy and would fire nukes. North Korean leaders are crazy like foxes. And oh by the way they _have_ nukes because they have scientific knowledge greater than 95 % of the rest of the Third World. They are not dumb at all. The American public has been fooled big time by the media on Korea, fooled by the media once again.
  • Ronald G. Linville Technically, although they WERE drawn into doing it (by MacArthur and Dulles, according to IF Stone), they DID cross the border first in 1950. Kim Jong Un is crazy like a fox…a rabid fox……bout i agree that the US is more dangerous, because i think if Kim really started anything nutty, the self-preservation instincts of those around him would kick in, and end the "socialist dynasty".
  • Charles Brown Yea rabid foxes would have fought the US to its first "tie" ,as we were taught in school. Rabid foxes would have survived this long against US military and economic might. You been fooled by the media Ronald G. Linville.
